CREDITON Tennis Men's B team enjoyed a competitive home victory over a youthful Dawlish C side on Friday, June 26, in Exeter and District Division 7.

Arlo Vaughan returned from university to partner his uncle, Hugh Sims. They lost their opening rubber 4-6, 3-6 but bounced back superbly in the second.

After storming to a 6-0 first set and leading 5-2 in the second, they withstood a late Dawlish fightback to seal a 7-5 victory and claim two valuable points.

Andy Botterill and Richard Wilk continued their excellent form, winning both of their rubbers in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1, 6-3 and 6-4.

Their consistent performances have established them among the strongest pairings in the division.

The 6-2 victory keeps Crediton B comfortably mid-table, with some breathing room over the teams below.

The B team achieved a recent 4-4 draw with Exeter Golf and Country Club.
