SOME great action continues at Creedy Lakes, in Crediton, as the fish approach the pre-spawning period.

A common weighing 24lbs was reported by Crediton angler Sid Rogers who landed a beautifully clean common which came amid a four fish bag.

He has had much to celebrate, apart from this nice catch, after recently becoming dad to twin girls, Sienna and Sky. Very well done Sid, hopefully it was the perfect peace for a couple of hours!

A cracking green tench was banked by Crediton angler Alvin King who fished mid-way up on the right bank and landed three tench scaling 6lbs 9oz, 5lbs 9oz and 4lbs 6oz. He also reported some nice carp, four commons including two doubles, best of 21lbs 3oz.

Crediton monumental mason Simon Stevens enjoyed some nice sport with his son Sam when he tempted out four fish during his visit. His largest fish scaled 20lbs exactly.

Also during the week another Crediton angler, Kevin Wheatly, landed three commons up to 14lbs 8oz.
