DESPITE very wet weather children from Hayward’s Primary School took on a team from Ide Primary School in a Remembrance tag rugby match as part of the Royal British Legion’s “Thank You” campaign.

The children at Hayward’s also commemorated the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War by making poppies for a Poppy installation at the school.

Year 6 children also researched the names of those on the Crediton Town and Hamlets War Memorial.

A Remembrance assembly was also held.
