CREDITON Town Square is set to become the stage for a massive physical test on Saturday, September 19, as the Crediton RFC U16s squad and their coaches take on an ambitious fundraising challenge starting at 9am until completed.

​Together, the players will attempt to row and cycle 190 miles on static equipment in a single day - matching the exact distance from Crediton to Twickenham Stadium in West London. The static bikes and rowing equipment will be kept in constant motion as the boys power through relentless miles to hit their target.

​The huge effort is part of a final fundraising push for the squad's upcoming 2027 West London Tour. Having built momentum throughout their junior rugby years, the team is working to ensure every single player can participate in this capstone experience regardless of financial circumstances.

​Funds raised will directly support: travel and accommodation, i.e. group coach transport and hotel stays; rugby experiences, i.e. local matches, a tour of Twickenham Stadium, and tickets to a live Premiership Rugby fixture; team bonding, i.e. group activities, including a trip to Thorpe Park.

​Organisers have extended special thanks to Active Crediton (formerly Lords Meadow Leisure Centre) for supporting the cause by lending two static bikes, ensuring the team has enough equipment to keep the miles rolling within a realistic timeframe.

​The community is invited to head down to Crediton Town Square on September 19 from 9am to cheer on the squad, cheer them through the pain barrier, or donate in person.

​Every contribution helps the team get one step closer to London. A fundraising raffle will be running throughout the day with tickets available to purchase on-site.
