CREDITON RFC 2ND XV 21-69 EXETER SARACENS RFC 1ST XV

THE season finally got underway for the 2nd XV as we welcomed Exeter Saracens 1st XV to Blagdon.

We started the game well, with some impressive phase play and strong carries putting Exeter under pressure early on. However, our visitors defended well throughout, and a lack of accuracy at crucial moments allowed them to gain the upper hand on several occasions.

Our efforts were also hampered some availability issues, forcing three forwards to play in the backs. While they did an admirable job, Sarries recognised and exploited those areas effectively, managing the game well and taking advantage of the positional disruptions.

Despite the challenges, we never gave up. Every player continued to battle hard, showing determination and commitment right until the final whistle, providing plenty of positives to build on as the season progresses.
