CREDITON Youth FC U18s, drew 3-3 against Braunton FC at Lords Meadow on Sunday, October 15. 

This was a great result for the Crediton lads against one of the leagues top sides. 

At 2-1 down a superb Will Bragg header brought Creddy back into the game. But a resilient Braunton side managed to edge in front again, before Morgan Hallett finished off a great team move to gain a well deserved point for the home side. Harry Edwards got the first Crediton goal.

The U18’s wore their new kit on Sunday, which has been has kindly sponsored by Crediton Dairy, continuing their very generous support of Crediton Youth FC.

There was lots of action earlier as well as the U15 girls had a rather one sided victory over Buckland Athletic. 

Lily Anne Smith with a hat-trick, Evie Greswell and Evie Lewis both getting doubles, with Abbie Carthew and Ruby Turner completing the scoring.

It was a great day as well for the U13 girls against Ottery St Mary in the cup. Lexi Mullen with a brace, Ellen Beswick, Gracie Clements and Lucy Budd getting their goals as they won 5-1.

Both U11 girls sides entertained Braunton sides, but it was not to be their day as both sides lost.

The U9 girls were back in action and they fielded two teams in a mini tournament at Twyford and had a great morning of football.

Saturday, October 14 saw the U15s edge out Alphington 3-2 at Lords Meadow.

The U14s came away from Brixington Blues with a 4-1 victory, with two goals apiece from Seb Roche and Zak Cheriet.

Both the U12s and 13s hosted two of the top sides in their respective leagues and found out how challenging life in the top division can be as they both suffered heavy defeats.

Amber Zhang, George Strawson and Luis Matthews got the consolation goals for the U13s against a very useful Exmouth Town side.

It was a similar affair for the U12s who fell away against Brixington Blues with Riad Abdel-Hay getting their goal.

The U11s came out on top against Newton St Cyres in their local derby. 

Finn Moore led the scoring for them, with Jacob Harling, Jacob Sweeney, Luke Beetlestone and Thomas Levett also amongst the goal scorers.
