SATURDAY, July 7, sees the return of the annual Hospiscare Twilight Walk and women and girls are being encouraged to sign up now.

This year’s theme is “Pink Fizz”, so women and girls are asked to dig out all things pink to wear.

They are also being tempted with a glass of “fizz” on their return after the walk, which is once again being sponsored by Western Power Distribution.

The sponsored walk starts from The Maer, Exmouth and both routes take in stunning views of the coast.

There will be entertainment at the start and along the route, and as well as the well-deserved glass of “fizz”, there will be a bacon sandwich and a cuppa at the end.

All new for 2018 is the 5K Fizz Run.

This fun run will take place just before the walk and the charity hope it will appeal to both new and experienced runners.

Hospiscare Events Fundraiser, Sharon Ewart, said: “We are so excited to be able to introduce a 5K run to complement the popular Twilight Walk.

“This will certainly be a run with the emphasis on fun! There is plenty of time to train for this event and we hope it will give people a great target to work towards”.

She adds: “Money raised by both our runners and our walkers will make a huge difference to the life of local people, it will help Hospiscare make every day matter to people in our community.”
