OTIS and Esme Butterfield of Yeoford will be taking part in a charity skydive on April 17 for the second year running to raise money for the charity Second Sight.

Otis explained: ”I’ve talked my Mum into jumping 15,000 feet out of a plane with me and we are raising money for a great charity called Second Sight.

“The charity can’t help my eyes work again, but with certain eye conditions they can help, and DO!

“Second Sight COMPLETELY changes peoples lives…

“By taking a leap into the unknown, into the sky from a moving plane, I hope with your help to cover my costs, as well as reaching a goal of gifting £600 to return eyesight to 30 people who right now live in a dark world like me!

“Just £20 facilitates the provision of surgeons to carry out cataract surgery, to provide the necessary support and assistance in the treatment of those who right now can’t see. “Just £20 gives sight back to a person living in a poor rural area of India called Bihar.

“I am really hoping I can raise £1,000 so that I can help change the lives of 30 people so that they can see again.

“I can only imagine what a difference it will make to their lives, and the lives of the people that depend on them, and their families.

“So please will you contribute to helping me achieve this goal?

“Thanking you very much for whatever you can give.”

Second Sight say they don’t pay any salaries, there are no expenses, no admin costs and 100 per cent of your money restores sight.
