A 1-2-3 Stableford competition was played on Saturday,
October 21 at Okehampton Golf Club.

The winners of Division One were Keith Harvey, Alan
Lawson and Adrian Raymond with 82 points winning on the back nine from, in second Matthew Parry, Paul Rattenbury and Lewis Parry.

Third place was taken by Lee Carey, Robbie Bowden and Jack Whiteway with 81 points.

Reggie Wonnacott, Steve Penna and Chris Walsh were the winners of Division Two with 77 points.

Alan Dunn, Alan Jeffery and Adam Badman were second with 75 points and Ade Hick, David Rowe and Lynn Hazelton were in third place with 71 points.

On Sunday (October 22) the all club Champion of Champions was held at Tavistock Golf Club and the new Devon champion is Jack Whiteway from Okehampton Golf Club with a gross score of 71 (-two) nett 73.

Okehampton’s lady club champion Frances Harbron had a gross 84 (10) and finished sixth in the nett division.

Also on Sunday, in beautiful conditions, Okehampton hosted the Dartmoor Challenge Shield which was won by Okehampton for the best combined team score.

The best individual score of the day was won by Malcolm Hooper with 41 points.

This was followed by the 2023 Dartmoor League presentation where the Captain, Toby Gostling was presented with the Peter Pearman Shield by Sue Pearman for retaining the title of League Champions.
