CHULMLEIGH Tennis Club has become an LTA Tennismark Club.

This is a Sport England approved accreditation that recognises clubs as safe, welcoming and inclusive.

The club’s new season starts today, Friday, April 1 with an Open Tournament on April 3 from 10am to which all are invited.

Entry is £2 a player for non-members and refreshments will be available. New members can join on the day!

Coaching begins on Wednesday, April 13, for all ages.

Beginners, called minis, use a special red, orange or green ball and the club has a new Mini session at 4pm for children aged from four-years old.

For adults who have not picked up a tennis racket for years, the club has a Rusty Racket session at 7pm!

A Wine Tasting on February 26 raised more than £200.
