FISHING at Creedy Lakes Fishery in Crediton recently local angler Steve Tancock had a great brace of commons whilst fishing on the shelf swim on the far bank.

He tempted four commons plus a tench that session and topping his bag was an impressive pair scaling 24lbs 8oz and 24lbs 2oz. His other capture was an 18lbs 8oz and a 9lbs common.

Crediton postman Alan Greenslade had a good mixed bag fishing mid-way up on the right bank. Topping his three-fish bag was a lovely mirror carp scaling 21lbs 6oz along with a 12lbs 2oz common and a small green tench.

Mike Izzard, also from Crediton, enjoyed some nice action two-thirds-of-the-way up on the left bank where he tempted out three commons.

His top two catches were of a good size weighing 22lbs 5oz and 20lbs 4oz with his other fish weighing 15lbs.

Crediton angler Alvin King kicked his season off to a great start after a struggling previous visit. Action started with a 13lbs 4oz common, an 18lbs 8oz, one of 20lbs 6oz and topping his catches was a nice 21lbs 13oz common.
