IN the midweek Stableford competition played at Downes Crediton Golf Club on Wednesday, April 24, Ben Marchant took victory by scoring 40 points to beat Jim Dunlop (40 pts) by virtue of a better back nine.

With the weather not at its best on Thursday, April 25 the Ladies Charity Stableford proved a real war of attrition.

Lyn Parry, though playing some sterling golf, posted 31 points for the win. Anne Woodger scored 30 points to follow in second.

A Club Stableford played on Saturday, April 27 was a testing day on the links as the wind blew at around 40mph throughout the day but Simon Mannell was up to the challenge as he posted 35 points to take the win.

Nick Staddon and Paul Conabeare both scored 34 points to finish second and third respectively whilst Ben Dommett (32pts) placed fourth.

Friendly matches played on Sunday, April 28: B Team Friendly – Downes Crediton 3 - Libbaton 3; Mixed Match Friendly – Torquay GC 5 - Downes Crediton 2.
