IT was John Rance who won this year’s Jack Painting trophy at Downes Crediton Golf Club on Monday, July 3, by scoring 45 points to claim the trophy as well as the Division Two prize.
Jim Matheson scored 41 points to win the Division One prize.
Darren Goble scored 39 points to win the mid-week stableford played on Wednesday, July 5.
The club’s ladies captain Rebecca Aven scored 42 points to win the week’s Ladies County Stableford Seven, played on Thursday, July 6.
It was Sue Jackson who scored 38 points to finish second.
Nick Staddon scored 21 points to win the Thursday Nine-Hole Stableford.
Matthew Slee stole the show in this year’s July medal and Hazeldon trophy by scoring a nett 64 (six under) to take home the trophy and Division Two prize, played on Saturday, July 8.
In Division One it was Darren Russell who scored a nett 66 (four under) to take top spot.
It was Graham Knowles who scored a nett 67 (three under) to take the Division Three prize.
