DOWNES Crediton Golf Club Seniors played an individual stableford on Monday, November 25 which saw Paul Fricker post a best of the day 32 points and also top Division One.

David Cousins scored 28 points to take second place. Alan Matthews came out on top in Division Two with 30 points whilst Chris Vercoe (26 pts) placed second.

After a couple of cancellations one of the favourite competitions of the year “The Greenkeepers Revenge” finally got played on Saturday, November 30.

The competition that sees the greenkeepers set the course up in a very interesting manner with quirky pin positions and unusual course furniture saw Club Captain Graham Dyne join forces with Simon Cartlidge and Sam Dyne to take top spot with a score of 69.

Following in second place were the trio of Chet Greenslade, Duane Greenslade and Oliver Greenslade (nett 70) whilst the leading ladies team were Sue Jackson, Lyn Parry and Anne Woodger.
