THE Two Castles Challenge, a four ball better ball competition with 18 holes, played at Launceston and 18 holes also played at Okehampton Golf Club, returned on Saturday, June 26 and Sunday 27.

A large field representing numerous clubs enjoyed a weekend of golf on two immaculate courses.

The winners of the scratch over 36 holes were Aaron Crabb and Jason Contreras from Cricket St Thomas with 83 points and the winners of the handicap over 36 holes were Ross Anderson and Trevor Chapman from Okehampton with 86 points.

The best mixed pair over 36 holes was Gary Stone of Bude and Sandi Perry from Lanhydrock with 83 points and the best single sex pairing over 36 holes were Tom McGratton and Dean Abrams from Okehampton with 82 points after countback.

The best scratch score over 18 holes at Okehampton was won by Paul Prouse and Will Searle with 36 points and the best handicap score over 18 holes at Okehampton was won by Nicholas Windfield and Mike Smith from Perranporth.

The best scratch score over 18 holes at Launceston was won by Jack Whiteway and Dave Grimes from Okehampton with 40 points and the best handicap score over 18 holes at Launceston was won by Heidi and Marcus Watson-Jones from Exminster.
