A FOUR ball team competition was played at Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday, November 11.
The winners of Division One were Kevin Cornwall, Alan Searle, Mark Wonnacott and Chris Ball with 87 points.
Evan Rees, Bryan Evans, Paul Douglas and Lee Pengelly were second with 86 points and Adam Cook, Martin Cox, Matt Soby and Pete Grant were third with 84 points.
Division Two was won by Kerry Skinner, Steve Pike, Steve Browne and Barry Ratcliffe with 88 points.
Norman Heslop, Jim Murray, Nick Reilly and Dave Stallion were second with 87 points and Keith Harvey, David Rowe, Adrain Raymond and David Haines-Lawson were third with 86 points.
As a mark of respect on Remembrance Day Okehampton Golf Club’s gifted greenkeepers did some amazing artwork by painting eleven poppies on the eleventh green, which was greatly appreciated by all members.
The ladies played their annual Individual Turkey Trot stableford competition and the winner was Penny Deakin with 34 points, Sue Stanbury was second with 33 points and Frances Harbron was third with 32 points.
The seniors also played an individual stableford competition for the Doug Cooper Cup and the winner of the trophy was Paul Ezard with 37 points after countback from, in second Vic marks also with 37 points.
