THE second “Party in The Barn” fundraiser for the FORCE cancer charity was held at Newton St Cyres Golf Course on July 23.

The evening was a roaring success and very well-attended. Everyone enjoyed a well-stocked bar, fantastic music by way of “The Fabulous Thorvertones” and a delicious hog roast provided by John and Barbra Horsman.

During the evening there was an auction conducted by Mr Whitton of Whitton and Laing, auctioneers, which raised a substantial amount with another mini auction the following week at The Beer Engine in Newton St Cyres.

More than £5,900 was raised for this very worthwhile cause with money still coming in!
