DOWNES Crediton Golf Club Ladies section played their Christmas Stableford on Thursday, November 24 where their scores will remain a secret until their Christmas meal.

Saturday, November 26 saw the seniors play the last of their Christmas competitions, an individual stableford open to all members.

Scoring the best of the day, 45 points ,to take top spot was the “in form” Michael White who has now seen his handicap tumble five shots in the last couple of weeks.

His score included a solid front nine of 21 points along with a dazzling back nine of 24. This also gave him victory in Division Three beating Adam Westle (39 pts) into second place with Colin Ray third posting 38 points.

Division One saw Rodin MacKay shoot a fine level par round of 70 to score 41 points off of his five handicap beating Andy Frankum (40 pts) into second place with Darren Clifford third with a 39 points total.

It was a family affair at the top of Division Two and the Ladies Division with Jon Cornish scoring 40 points for victory and daughter Katie topping the Ladies section scoring 38 points.

In Division Two Ali Sawyer (40 pts) and Graham Dyne (40 pts) finished second and third respectively whilst Fran Shrubsole (36 pts) finished second in the ladies section.
