OKEHAMPTON Golf Club held a three ball two to count stableford competition on Saturday, January 19 and the winners of Division One, with a mighty 84 points, were Malcolm Hooper, Richard Prouse and Rob Green.

In second place were James Hall, Ricky Wooldridge and James Stacey with 83 points closely followed into third by Del Owen, Graham Moysey and Alan Stokes with 82 points.

Division Two was won by Toby Gostling, Paul Rattenbury and Bryan Evans with 80 points, Reggie Wonnacott, David Stallion and Roger Halliday were second with 78 points and in third position with 75 points were Norman Heslop, Tim Butler and Frank Nowell.

On Wednesday, January 16 the ladies section entered a pairs competition with one score to count on the odds and two scores to count on the evens.

The winners with 57 points were Sylvie Gowers and Sue Stanbury. In second place were Frances Harbron and Maggie Caws with 55 points and Di Johnson and Mary Keir were third with 54 points.
