DOWNES Crediton Golf Club seniors played a roll-up stableford qualifier on Monday, April 4 which saw Eric Fee win with a superb 40 points, two points more than his closest challenger.

Three players scored 38 points but finishing second with a superior back nine holes was George Crabbe with Andy Scoots third and the Club Captain fourth.

Two fine scores of 40 points topped the leaders table in this weeks Ladies County Stableford Two played on Thursday, April 7.

The Ladies Captain, Liz Mapson, took top spot over up and coming junior Josie Phillips courtesy of a better back nine.

Liz also won the Silver Division by six points over Tracey Chandler (34) whilst Josie won the Bronze One Division by five points over Ying Wong (35).

Bronze Division Two was won by Sue Sparham with 28 points, one clear of Annet Coles (27).

On a tough breezy day, Kev Cole came top of the pile taking victory in Saturdays (April 9) Club Stableford. His 38 points tied with Darren Clifford but a better back nine saw him take the spoils.

Jamie McGuigan came third with 37 points whilst Simon Baker finished fourth with 35.
