A FOURBALL better ball competition for the Winter Trophy was played at Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday, October 29, when the winners of Division One were Scott Gillespie and Steve Heyes with 47 points.

Mark Bennett and Lee Carey were second with 46 points and Kevin Cornwall and Alan Searle were third, also with 46 points. Brothers Matt and Lewis Parry took fourth place with 45 points.

The winners of Division Two and the Winter Trophy were John Leonard and David Rowe with an amazing 50 points.

Matt Soby and Adrian Rice were second with 47 points, Pete Grant and Eric Pengelly were third with 46 points after count back from, in fourth John Latham and Gavin Jackson with 46 points.

The ladies competition was a three ball “Delaney” Texas Scramble and the winners were Janice Stanistreet, Stacey Bale and Cherry James with nett 59.2 and in second place were Penny Deakin, Sue Williams and Maggie Caws with nett 64.4.
