HUNDREDS of Santas will be dashing through Exeter city centre on Sunday, December 7, as the city’s most festive fun run returns for another year of Christmas cheer.

Organised by Exeter City Community Trust, the partner charity of Exeter City Football Club, the Santa Run is a joyful 2.5k or 5k event open to runners, walkers, and families of all ages.

Starting on the High Street at 9am, it’s the perfect way to kick off the festive season and enjoy a morning of festive fun in your Santa suit.

Proceeds from the event will support Exeter City Community Trust, which delivers health, wellbeing and education programmes across Devon and its partner charities. Participants can also raise funds for their own chosen charities.

Jamie Vittles, chief executive of Exeter City Community Trust, said: “The Santa Run is one of our favourite events of the year - a truly joyful way to start the Christmas season.

“Seeing a sea of Santas taking over the city centre never fails to raise a smile. It’s a fun, family-friendly event that captures the spirit of Exeter and helps raise vital funds for programmes and activities which support local people.”

This year’s event is supported by headline sponsor Tozers and partners Eagle One, Thrifty/Switch, Robson Financial, ILEC Group, Stagecoach, Exeter City Council and Princesshay.
