AN online fundraiser has been organised to raise funds for Tedburn St Mary Football Club.

It has been set up by Chloe Sibley who writes: “As many of you know, our club was recently broken into and our mower stolen.

“This is a huge setback for us — not just financially, but also for keeping our pitches safe and ready for all the players who rely on them every week.

“We’re determined not to let this stop us.

“That’s why we’re launching a fundraising appeal to help us replace what’s been taken and keep our club running strong for the whole community.

“If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it will make a real difference.

“If you can’t donate, please support us by sharing this post so we can reach as many people as possible.

“Together, we can turn this tough moment into something positive and show just how strong our club spirit really is.

“Thank you for standing with us — every bit of support keeps our club alive and thriving!”

Tedburn St Mary Football Club said in a statement on September 8: “Sadly, our football club was broken into during the late or early hours of Sunday, September 7.

“Our mower and other valuables have been stolen.

“We believe it may have been taken away on a trailer, and we are asking our community to help.

“If you live nearby and have CCTV or dashcam footage that shows a vehicle towing a trailer during that time, please check it. Even the smallest detail could help the police with their enquiries.

“If you have any information, please contact the club, or the police using the 101 number.”

A number of other sports clubs have suffered similar break-ins.
