SUNDAY, August 2 saw John Kinsey, Lloyd Reynolds and Dave Nicks produce another fundraising epic at North Tawton Bowling Club.
So far this trio have raised thousands of pounds for the club and they, again, came up with the goods with a Fun Day Pub Challenge which raised an estimated £1,500.
It consisted of teams from the various pubs in North Tawton in a round-robin game of bowls. The green was full of much laughter and good spirit which eventually saw one of the teams from The Fountain win.
Thanks go to The Fountain for supplying all the food for the barbecue for free; The White Hart who provided some much-needed free beer and The Copper Key for a prize of a meal for two.
The bowling ladies were again much to the fore with Jan Summers, Margaret Denham and Anita Lamey cooking the barbecue and Clare Kinsey and Emma Nicks running the bar.
Well done to all concerned, a great community effort to raise funds and have fun at North Tawton Bowling Club.
