MARTIN Daniel, a volunteer with Crediton Youth FC, has been nominated for the National People’s Award, after winning Devon County FA’s County and Regional Outstanding Contribution award.

Martin has been an exceptional volunteer for Crediton Youth where he combines roles as U13s coach, Child Welfare Officer and also Club Chairman.

As you can imagine, these roles keep him extremely busy but he always strives to go above and beyond to help the players and other volunteers at the club.

He has been a driving force behind the expansion of the club, which has seen membership increase by more than 100 members and also the formation of a girls’ team which he also oversees.

In addition to this, he maintains the club pitches whilst also plotting their usage, which saves time for the other coaches, allowing them more time with their teams!

Martin’s dedication to the cause means the club is moving closer to gaining an FA Community Charter Award, which would be a fitting reward for his leadership and persistence in providing football to hundreds of children.
