PLAYERS from Copplestone United Football Club, the Under 13’s Cobras and Under 14’s Rangers, will compete against teams from Holland and Germany, in Dokkum, Holland, at the Bonifatiuscup tournament at the end of May.

Club supporter Murray Smith, said he hopes the Copplestone teams taking part will become an annual event and he wished the boys well in representing both Devon and their country.

Copplestone United Football Club was formed in 2005 by Guy Gibson and was awarded Standard Chartered status in 2014.

The club now provides structured coaching and matches, overseen by FA qualified coaches, for more than 100 local boys and girls in the age ranges Under 7’s – Under 14’s, and successfully takes part in the Exeter and District Youth and Mid Devon Leagues.

Mr Murray added that committee would be very keen to hear from any new players, volunteers and potential sponsors who are interested in getting involved with the football club.

He added: “The players, committee members and parents of Copplestone United Football Club would like to thank all their sponsors and volunteers for the 2016 – 2017 season.

“We are especially grateful to their main kit sponsors, Jonathan Wood Veterinary Surgeon, Bow Medical Centre, ASAP Skip Hire, Linhay Homes, Langford Plant Hire and RKH Construction.”
