THE big game last Saturday morning at Lords Meadow saw Crediton Youth U13’s take on Stoke Hill.

It’s always a close competitive encounter between these two sides.

At two each it was a penalty that saw Crediton push ahead and eventually run out 4-2 winners to send them up into third place. Two goals each from Rhys Ebdy and Zach Mildon sealed their victory.

It was a tough day for the U15’s who at 3-2 looked to be in control, only to allow the visitors, Culm Sampford, back into the game.

Even at 4-3 down the Creddy lads looked the more likely to score and salvage a point, but it was not to be. On target for them were Owen Jones with two and Henry Brazier-Armin.

Another good morning for the U10’s who won two, drew and lost one against Heavitree and Whipton. Their goals coming from Casey Philp, Daniel Southall, Jayden Saunders, Oliver Brimilcombe and Ryan Ebdy.

It was a big game for the U12’s away at West Exe as two of the top sides came together. Jake Stagg with two and a goal from Zac Miller saw them come away with a 3-0 victory, stand-in goalkeeper Seb Roche keeping a clean sheet.

Another win for the U11’s away at Dawlish. On target for them were Ethan Moore and Will Matten with two apiece and further goals from Daniel Cavanagh and Hayden Richardson-Miller.

The astro courts came to the rescue on Sunday to allow the U8’s and 9’s to have their fixtures.

The U9’s hosted Broadclyst Youth and had two wins and two defeats. Amongst their goal scorers were Finn Moore, Henry Windsor, Harry Broome, Joseph Charlesworth, Luke Beetlestone, Radu Mototolea, Seth Conridge and Will Mullen.

Following on from them the U8’s had a mini tournament with Twyford Spartans. It was Crediton Hawks who edged out Crediton Eagles on goal difference to be overall winners on the day out of the six sides involved.
