DOWNES Crediton Golf Club held its annual “Senior’s Greenkeeper’s Revenge” last Monday (March 7), where the pin positions were somewhat tricky and on a chilly morning scoring was going to be difficult.
A team who found scoring not so difficult were the threesome of Graham Cox, Mike Hammond and Steve Gidley who scored a superb 66, this was matched by John Essery, John Cann and John Hooper who just lost out on countback.
The ladies played a charity stableford on Thursday, March 10 which saw Liz Mapson as Silver Division and best overall winner with 34 points.
In second place was Doreen Warren with 32 points. Bronze One was won by Ying Wong with 26 points, 2 Rickie Pawsey 24 points.
Bronze Two was won by Sue Barr with 32 points and Viv Jordan was second with 29 points.
