THE First Crediton Scout Group ran its usual annual Christmas card postal service to addresses in Crediton just before Christmas.

Debbie Richards, on behalf of the Scout Group, said: "Thank you to all those who have supported the Scouts and sent their Christmas cards to friends and family locally through our Scout Christmas post service.

"We raised a grand total of £225.20."

The cards were delivered by the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, leaders and parents during the week before Christmas.

George Davey, Assistant District Commissioner for Mid Devon Scouts, said he would like to thank the businesses which hosted the post boxes and sold the 20p Scout stamps, as well as all those who delivered the cards.

One card, for Jenny and Owen Rich, was unable to be delivered as it had been posted with the wrong address. If you are the intended recipient, please contact Alan Quick at the "Crediton Courier" who will ensure that the card is delivered to the correct address.
