COME to sunny Devon, rain six days out of seven! Another blank Saturday (March 31) for Lapford First Eleven and again on Easter Monday.

With a total of 14 cancelled matches so far because of the wet weather, how many more I wonder?

The Reserves cancelled on Good Friday making it now 10 matches cancelled.

April fixtures are as follows:

Division One: April 11 away at Bickleigh, 6.30pm kick-off; April 14 home against Lyme Regis 3pm; April 17 home against Heavitree Reserves 6.30pm and April 25 home against Bickleigh 6.30pm.

Division Seven: April 7 home against Amory Rovers 3pm kick off; April 9 away against Chagford Reserves 6.30pm; April 18 home against Chagford Reserves 6.30pm; April 21 home against Newton Poppleford 3pm and April 24 home against Willand Eleven 6.45pm.

So, I am praying for some better weather in the coming days and no more cancelled matches.
