FOOTBALL fever recently gripped the country and it gave the Crediton branch of RGB Building Supplies an opportunity to give customers and staff the chance to score a penalty against the company’s mascot Archie Bee.

Many people took part, and with plenty of donations, they helped to raise £389.73 for the charity, the Children’s Hospice South West.

Penalty takers made a £1 donation to take their shot and all those that beat Archie Bee were entered into a prize draw to win a Sharp 49” LED TV.

Adrian Borchardt, Branch Manager at RGB Crediton, commented: “The penalty shoot-out was great fun and, although Archie Bee’s performance wasn’t quite up to the standard of Jordan Pickford, he did save a fair few shots!

“We’d like to thank all our customers who took part for helping us to raise funds for Children’s Hospice South West.”

Children’s Hospice South West is RGB Building Supplies’ chosen charity and the builders merchant is organising a number of events to raise funds. The hospice provides care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West.
