CREDITON United FC clubhouse was the venue for the annual presentations for Crediton Youth Football Club, which were again done in two sessions.

The first session, for the Junior section, saw the clubhouse virtually full to capacity. This was quickly followed by the Senior section event.

Club Chairman, Martin Daniel, welcomed everyone and introduced Matt Trenaman, Crediton United First Team manager, who presented participation medals and awards to the Junior Section.

Will Allan, the clubs Devon FA Coach Mentor, presented the medals and awards to the Senior Section.

Again, it has been another great season for the club. Another rise in membership has seen the club running 16 sides, across 11 age groups in five different leagues.

This has also seen the second year of the club working with the FA Coach Mentoring Programme.

It has been really great to see the return of girls football to the club. With the Under 11’s competing in the Devon Girls League. The club now also has a sister club link to Yeovil Town Ladies FC.

Once again the club has been proud of the social programme it provides for its players. The club has put on such activities as trips to a Premier League game, a Match Day experience at Plymouth Argyle, Hallowe’en and Easter bingo’s, just to list a few.

Clubman of the Year award went to Sean Hartrey, for his hard work and contribution to the club, which has seen him coaching and working with three sides.

Manager of the Year went to Martin Heywood for the excellent season the Under 11’s have had in both the league and the cup.

The Chairman’s award in the Junior section went to Nikki Sandland, for all the outstanding work she has done in co-ordinating the girls teams, and the Chairman’s award in the Senior Section went to the Under 12’s Sunday side for their efforts and enthusiasm shown this season.

Vice Chairman’s Award for contributions behind the scenes went to Lin Warren in the Junior Section and Sally Anne Daniel in the Senior.

The Tim Roach Memorial award for biggest contribution or achievement made by an age group went to the Under 11’s.

Long Service awards were presented to Martin Dickinson and Paul Bolt for the years of service they had given to this year’s Under 16’s.
