OUR home record is still unbroken so another league team bites the dust, namely Thorverton AFC with a much stronger team than last season, so their manager informed us before the match.

I say bring them all on and see what happens in the future.

It was a good day with the weather and a bigger turnout, and a win.

To the match then, not a lot in it but the visitors did score with 18 minutes to take the lead at half-time.

But there are two halves and the hosts playing up the pitch all the action seemed to be played in the visitors half, so instead Lapford stepped up the pressure and three goals came at 65, 72 and 76 minutes to put the icing on a big cake. Well done lads - not a loss so far.

On Saturday, October 16 it is up to Topsham to take on Exeter University Reserves at 3pm.

The Sportinglighting Premier Devon Cup has given Lapford an away match Third Round against Millbridge from the Plymouth and West Devon League.

I am told Lapford played them at home in the semi-final Devon Senior Cup and won, so a trip to Plymouth will be needed on October 30, but before that there is a home match against Colyton.

The football Club raised another £27 making a total so far of £73. Many thanks to all.

After the results of October 9 the league positions are as follow: 1 - Beer Albion P8 - 18 pts. 2 - Lapford P7 - 17 pts, no losses. 3 Thorverton P7 - 16pts.

Good luck to all.
