THE weekend of September 9 and 10 saw the new season start for many Crediton Youth FC sides.
It was a home fixture for the U11’s who took on Hemyock Sharks.
They started the new campaign with a victory.
Amongst the goal scorers for Crediton were Luke Beetlestone, Finn Moore, Joseph Charlesworth, Jacob Jones, Jacob Sweeney and Radu Mototolea.
Evan Leach and Seb Conridge took the player of the match awards.
The U13s started their season away at Culm Sampford Panthers and came away with a 3-2 win.
On target for them were Amber Zhang and Luis Matthews with a double.
Also away at Culm Sampford were the U15’s, but unfortunately their game was abandoned very early on after an injury to one of the home sides players.
Sunday saw both the U11 girls sides start their season with fixtures against Twyford Spartans.
It was a draw and one defeat for them.
Goal scorers were Amelia May, Emilia Tobin and Molly Carr.
On the previous Wednesday evening the U11 girls were match day mascots at the Exeter City v Torquay United fixture played at the Exwick Hub.
They had a very enjoyable evening watching Exeter City run out 7-0 winners.
The U13 girls went down 6-2 at home to Central Youth Lions.

It was a good day for the U15 girls who returned from Watcombe Wanderers with a 5-2 result.
Amy Lockyer, Chloe Curtis, Lily Anne Smith and Isabella Ferrante, with a brace, scored the goals.
