FORMER Crediton Youth FC player Richard Edworthy, now a teacher at Penrice Academy in St Austell, recently returned to his old club bringing teams from his school to play against Crediton Youth.

Teams from Penrice Academy played against Crediton Youth Under 11’s and Under 13’s in a mini tournament held on the astro at Lords Meadow.

A great morning of football took place with Penrice B winning the U11’s age group and Penrice A the U13’s.

The club then hosted the visiting players in the clubhouse, prior to them making their way in to Exeter to watch the Exeter City game in the afternoon.

Penrice Academy’s head of PE Richard Tucker said the players had really enjoyed their visit to Crediton, and it had been a marvellous opportunity for the boys to play sides from outside their own county.

He also hoped this will be the start of a positive relationship with Crediton Youth FC.
