AND we’re back...! Although the league has been suspended for the rest of the season, with no teams being promoted or relegated, thankfully, many are continuing to play their remaining fixtures on a friendly basis. It’s just good to be able to play football again.

Crediton 0 - Moors 2

Saturday, April 4 saw us play our first game following a long lockdown, at home against Moors. As our coach Dave Jose Hughes said in his post match interview: "A well balanced game and if Lady Luck had been a bit more on our side, it could have been 2-2". Enough said?!

Dawlish 1- Crediton 3

Last Saturday saw us travel to a sunny fixture by the sea and the team were right up for a win.

Crediton dominated much of the match with us making the most of the opportunity to lead with a well taken penalty from Big Joe. 0 - 1 Crediton.

Shortly followed some drama with Crediton conceding a penalty.

With a bit of Lady Luck this week and a fine save... Reece kept the ball out of the back of the net.

With an assist from Joe H, Charlie L hit the ball well and scored. 0 - 2 Crediton.

The third came from Luis... and what a goal it was with a volley from outside the box. 0 - 3 Crediton.

Reece was clearly struggling with an arm injury before making another save and having to be subbed off.

Frase stepped up and took his position between the posts (complete with a giant thumb, injured the previous evening at rugby training!).

He made some great saves but Crediton continued to dominate. Dawlish seized their moment towards the end of the game with Frase initially keeping the ball out of the net, before Dawlish finally scoring after a bit of a rebound.

Final score: Dawlish 1 - Crediton 3.

Dave Jose Hughes said in his match summary: "What a difference a week makes... All the team gave 110 per cent today and it showed with some great passing and determination by all in every part of the pitch."

The rock-hard ground took it’s toll on the players with no give, and unfortunately after a visit to A and E it was confirmed Reece had broken his wrist.

The squad would like to wish him a speedy recovery... and are hoping he’s match-fit for the summer tournament. Get well soon Reece.
