LAST Saturday, November 12 saw a morning of league cup action at Lords Meadow.

l The U14s progressed to the next round with a 5-0 victory over Dawlish Youth.

Their goals being shared around between Harry Norman, Jayden Friend, Oliver Baker, Ollie Shorey and Rhys Ebdy.

l It was a rather one sided affair for the U12s against Exmouth Town Youth. Hayden Richardson Miller and Louis Mathews, both grabbed hat-tricks, with Alfie Simpson, Dan Cavanagh, Jac Caruana and Will Matten also amongst the goal scorers.

l Unfortunately, the U13s were handed a walk-over as Exmouth United failed to raise a side.

l Both U10 sides were at home and both made it through to the next round.

United made their way through with a good win against Whipton Warriors.

The game of the morning saw Rangers take on a useful Stoke Hill Juniors side. Both sides played their part in a cracking cup tie in which Rangers just edged out the Exeter side.

l Scorers on the day for the U10s included Eva Malik, Finn Moore, Fode Sylla, Harry Broome, Radu Mototolea, Will Manns and Will Mullen.

l On the road the U16s made the long journey to Axminster.

Despite going in front with a Harry Welsh goal, they fell away to a 4-1 defeat against the Division Two league leaders.

l It was a similar story for the U11s who also went down 4-1 to Moors Eagles. Oliver Brimilcombe getting their consolation goal.

l The U9s Panthers had a fine victory away at Exmouth Town Youth.

They put in a great performance and goals from Joey Carpenter, Noah Pugsley and Oscar Wilk saw them progress to the next round. Archie Short getting the award for player of the match.

l It was league action for the U15s as they made the short journey to Heavitree Hawks.

Ben Betts scored to put them in front against the league leaders but they had to settle for a point as the home side equalised shortly afterwards.

l Sunday morning saw both the U10 girls sides entertain Braunton Youth.

It was two wins and two draws for them.

l Also at home were the U14 girls who took on Watcombe Wanderers. Two goals from Amelia Duffin and another from Ruby Turner gave them a 3-0 victory.

l The U12 girls were away at Torquay United Community Sports Yellows. Lexi Mullen with a hat-trick getting the goals in their 3-0 win.

l The final game of the weekend at Lords Meadow saw the U18’s entertain Twyford Spartans on the main pitch.

Oscar Gaunt gave the home side the lead just before half time. But despite their superiority it took late goals Finn Warren and Casey Grossett to finally seal the result and give the U18’s back to back wins.
