CREDITON Youth Football Club could not have chosen a better game to run a trip for its Under 12 and Under 13 players, than the Tottenham Hotspur v Leicester City game.
The game, played at Spurs temporary home of Wembley on the last game of the season, ended with a 5-4 victory to the home side.
Originally the club had organised a trip to Aston Villa v Leeds United game back in April for the Under 12’s and 13’s. Unfortunately, the game was moved to a Friday evening which made it unviable to run the trip.
Club Vice Chairman, Adrian Harvey, acted quickly to arrange the trip as an alternative.
The trip not only gave many of the players their first opportunity to watch a Premier League game, and to see many top players, but also the chance to visit Wembley, the home of English football.
