CREDITON Youth U15’s hosted Feniton and found themselves 3-1 down. By half time they were back at three each.
In an amazing second half they raced to a 6-3 lead only to eventually lose out 7-6. George Strawson with a hat-trick, two from Louis Matthews and fine goal from Ethan Moore were just not enough on the day.
It was also a thrilling game for the U14’s as they entertained Sidmouth Warriors. A wonder strike from Edward Lippolis looked like it would win the game for them. But an equaliser from their guests saw it go to one each. Then in the last few minutes Sidmouth were awarded a penalty only for the Crediton keeper Harry Broome to become the hero with a superb save to see it end a draw.
The U13’s had to settle for 1-1 draw as well away at Dawlish. Will Manns getting their goal.
Also away from home were the U12’s. They returned from Colyton with a 3-1 win. A Dexter Hughes goal and two from Joey Carpenter saw them return with three valuable points.
Three wins and a draw for the U10’s as they travelled to take on Exeter Panthers.
The U7’s started their football journey with games away against Lympstone Youth.
