ONCE again Crediton Youth FC organised their annual Junior Section Match Day Visit to St James’ Park to watch an Exeter City FC Sky Bet League Two fixture.

This season’s chosen game was the match against Doncaster Rovers who are riding high in the league and are managed by Darren Ferguson, son of Sir Alex Ferguson.

More than 130 players and parents, from Crediton Youth, went along and watched the game, which despite City going 1-0 up with a Rueben Reid penalty, ended in a 3-1 defeat for Exeter with Doncaster grabbing three late goals.

Martin Daniel, from Crediton Youth FC, said: “At half time, members of Crediton Youth Under 9’s and 10’s took part in the half-time shot out.

“All those taking part thoroughly enjoyed it and loved their time on the pitch.

“It was an extra special day as well for two of the Under 10 players, Arlo Vaughan and Callum Lethbridge, who were match day mascots.

“Although they did not see a home victory, a great day was had by all.”
