WITH the players of both Copplestone Rangers and Crediton Youth Under 16’s nearing the end of their time with youth football, it was decided to arrange a final fixture between the two sides under floodlights at Crediton United’s Lords Meadow ground.

With a large crowd in attendance, the first half was quite an edgy affair with Crediton Youth going in at the break 2-0 up thanks to two well-taken Billy Stone goals.

A fine long range effort from Samuel Del-Rio at the start of the second half set the tone for the second period, soon after Billy Stone grabbed his third of the night.

Duncan Smith with a rare swaray into the opponents half got his first ever goal for the side to make it 5-0, which sparked some wild goal celebrations.

Billy Stone grabbed his fourth of the evening following a great team move, before Matt Worrall rounded the ‘keeper to make it 7-0 to the home side.

Special thanks must go to Crediton United for the use of the facilities and to Dan Uren for referring the game.
