CREDITON Reserves made it nine wins on the spin last Saturday (November 12) with a comfortable win over a spirited North Tawton side.

Crediton were without the suspended Harvey and Kingdom so Back and Thomas came into the starting line up with Daryl Pidgeon back on the bench.

The opening exchanges saw Matty Holland and Chris Acton taking some excellent short throw-ins but without the end product.

After multiple missed opportunities from Adam Pidgeon, Creddy’s number nine DJ Cammy opened the scoring. North Tawton were well in the game however and equalised on 39 minutes when a 20-yard free kick sailed past the woeful attempts of Keast in the home goal.

However, Creddy scored three goals in five minutes before the break to seal the game.

Firstly an awful 25-yard free kick from silver fox Nigel Thomas somehow nutmegged the away ‘keeper. Mike back on his home debut then scored a back post finish after excellent wide play from Cammy and Cammy himself made it 4-1 at the break with a tidy finish.

Creddy came quickly out of the blocks in the second half and wrapped things up on 50 minutes with a second of the game for Mike Back.

With the game finished, both sides had long spells of controlled possession but neither side going close to changing the scoreline.

Man of the match was Si Gregory for a strong and composed display at centre-half.

Next up is an away trip to Millwey Rise tomorrow, Saturday, November 19, looking to make it 10 wins in a row.
