CREDITON Youth Football Club recently ran its annual trip to St James’ Park, home of Exeter City, to watch a Sky Bet League Two fixture, and for the Under Nine’s and 10’s players to take part in the Half-Time Shoot Out.
Despite the redevelopment work at the ground more than 75 players and parents went along to watch the game against Grimsby Town.
Something new for this year, Crediton Youth sponsored two Match Day Mascot packages for one player from each of the two age groups.
The two lucky winners were Frankie Mason and Josh Saunders.
Prior to kick off various events took place in acknowledgement of Remembrance Day.
Despite the miserable weather the players were still able to take part in the shoot-out at half-time. As always they thoroughly enjoyed their time on the pitch.
Exeter City ran out 2-0 winners with a first half goal from Jayden Stockley and a superb second half effort from Liam McAlinden.
