PAUL Dorothy produced a fine stableford score of 40 points on Monday at Downes Crediton Golf Club to win the Seniors David Moss Vase whilst also topping Division Two.

Eric Fee (39pts) followed in second in Division Two whilst Division One saw two players post 39 points with John Cann beating Mark Walker to top spot by virtue of a better back nine holes.

On Wednesday, September 28 Bob Pym produced a superb 44 points for victory in the Midweek Stableford, three points clear of second placed Neil Wood (41pts).

On Thursday, September 29 the Ladies Club Stableford was won by Sue Jackson scoring 33 points, one point clear of second placed Sue Bonner (32pts).

Sue Sparham and Rickie Pawsey both posted scores of 19 points in the Ladies Nine-Hole Stableford with Sue Sparham taking the win with a better back six holes.

The Men’s Nine-Hole Stableford saw Jason Hayman score an impressive 21 for victory.

Saturday, October 1 saw a good turn out for the Norman Sutton October Medal and with the course playing superbly Steve Blackmore posted a fine nett 68 for the overall victory, whist the best scratch score of the day was scored by Ben Marchant with a gross 76.

Ben also topped Division One with a nett 70 whilst Steve Blackmore won Division Two with Martin Taverner (nett 68) topping Division Three.

Downes Crediton hosted the annual Chandler Generations Challenge on Sunday, October 2 and, as always, it was a fun days golf that sees family members and pairs with a 25-year gap join up to play for the trophy.

Winning with a score of 42 points were the father and son duo Nigel and Guy Hoskins with Terry Banbury and Hayden Leach (41pts) second whilst Steve and Fergus Govier scored 40 points for third.
