OKEHAMPTON Golf Club captain, Gary Carey, hosted the Dartmoor League and Palairet Team Sponsors lunch on Sunday, July 16.

This was followed by a 5-0 victory by Okehampton Dartmoor League Team against Teign Valley.

Okehampton ladies had an excellent 4-3 win away against Tiverton in the County Still Cup competition, which means they have now qualified for the county semi-finals on August 24.

This was an outstanding result for Okehampton as the Still Cup is Devon’s elite ladies team match play competition.

It is played off-scratch and the format is singles match play.

The ladies section is also having continued success in the County President’s Trophy where they have battled their way through to win their division and are now in the county quarter-finals which are also being held next month.
