A GROUP of darts players who play in the Crediton Men’s Darts League are taking part in a 24-hour Darts Marathon next weekend to raise funds for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust, as part of “Sparkle for Samuel” Appeal.
Starting at 11am on Saturday, October 10 and running until 11am the following morning, it will take place at the Rose and Crown, Sandford.
One of the organisers, Steve Yelland, told the Courier: “When we considered who to raise money for, we wanted there to be a link to Crediton.
“Samuel Crocker died tragically on February 28, 2015 and we want to raise money for Devon Air Ambulance Trust as a way of supporting his family.
“Our aim is to raise as much money as possible and we would appreciate the public’s help with sponsoring us, providing a donation in the form of a draw prize and/or supporting us throughout the 24-hours. Any contribution will be gratefully received.”
Anyone who would like to offer draw prizes or help should please either contact Steve on 07870 349 865 or Kevin Skinner on 07443 349 950. Alternatively contact the Rose and Crown on 01363 772056.
