UNFORTUNATELY the incessant rain throughout the county that came along on Saturday, June 7 around lunchtime put paid to any hopes of play for both Sandford Cricket Club’s First and Second XI teams at Creedy Park and Exmouth respectively.

The Thirds were lucky in that they didn't have a game anyhow.

As such, nothing changes in their respective Devon League tables and we move on to next week's games which sees the Firsts travelling to Cornwood for a 12.30pm start, with the Seconds and Thirds both home to Uplyme and Torquay Thirds respectively - both 1pm starts.

The Firsts and Thirds were also due to play T20 games at Creedy Park last Sunday, but any reports on these games will have to wait until next week, as I went a way on Sunday for a few days.

Meanwhile, can I remind you that Creedy Park will see Devon hosting Dorset in back-to-back T20 games starting at 11am in the NCAA T20 Cup competition this Sunday, June 15.

Entry on foot will be free, although there will be a £5 charge for car parking at the ground. The bar will be open and there will also be an all-day BBQ.
