SANDFORD Cricket Club will welcome the Devon County team to Creedy Park on Sunday, June 15 in a couple of T20 Double Header matches against Dorset.
It will be Dorset's first visit to the picturesque Sandford ground.
Over the years Sandford Cricket Club has been recognised by players, umpires and officials as one of the best playing surfaces in the county and this is due recognition for ’many people’s hard work.
Set in the delightful grounds of Creedy Park the ground is set naturally within the rolling hills of Mid Devon and with a clubhouse and facilities that are the envy of most clubs in the county.
It is one of the few clubs in the county who have two adjoining cricket grounds for the many age group teams who now represent Sandford.
With the kind permission of Richard and Rosie Cheriton a lease was granted on their land and a field was transformed into a beautiful second cricket pitch by Sandford Cricket Club’s hardworking ground staff.
The start of play will be 11am with the second game starting at approximately 2.30pm.
Entrance for spectators will be free but there will be a very small charge for cars.
If you visit for a full day this is a great opportunity for cricket fans to see the best players in the county in two exciting T20 games.
Refreshments will be served throughout the day and the bar will be open.
A big thank you to ATS Tyres, Euromaster, Crediton for their kind sponsorship of the game.
Sandford Cricket Club welcomes you all to the ground and the" Bill Matten Pavilion" and hope that you enjoy the very best cricket that the county can provide.
