STUDENTS from the Crediton and Copplestone PUMA Martial Arts group continue to put Crediton and the South West on the National sporting map, most recently with a string of recent successes at the National PUMA Junior Championships and the PUMA British One competition.

Dave Powlesland, who runs the long-established local schools in Copplestone, Crediton and Newton St Cyres, commented: “The individual achievements are very well-deserved for the training and diligence of our members, however to have so many of our members attend these national events and all bring home medals is such an fantastic achievement for our local schools.”

The most recent event saw Dave’s schools send a squad of eight members to the British Championships held in Swindon, ranging from junior members from six-year-olds up to experienced black belts.

The squad of eight managed to return with a haul of 15 Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

Crediton and Copplestone PUMA Martial Arts offer FREE trial sessions and additional family packages where parents and their children can all train in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
