MID Devon District Council has completed major poolside upgrades at Active Crediton, formerly Lords Meadow Leisure Centre, and Active Tiverton, formerly Exe Valley Leisure Centre.
These improvements, which include refurbished changing facilities, poolside areas and structural repairs, took place between March and June.
Facilities are now open and operating as normal.
“We’re proud to deliver on our promise of improving local leisure services,” cabinet member Cllr Josh Wright (Lib Dem, Silverton) said.
“These upgrades represent a significant investment in community wellbeing, and we hope they will encourage even more people to get active, stay healthy and make use of these fantastic spaces.”
Active Mid Devon Leisure Operations Manager Andy Mackie added: “We’re thrilled to welcome everyone back to Active Crediton and Active Tiverton with these upgraded facilities.
“Our teams worked incredibly hard to minimise disruption, and the result is a safer, more accessible, and much more welcoming space for all.”
